THE CONSTRUCTION CONCEPT IN THE TITLES OF LITERARY TEXTS IN THE ENGLISH DISCOURSE

Abstract: 
The article in question is aimed at analysing the potential of the CONSTRUCTION concept in the titles of literary texts in the English discourse. As a result the author deduces that in the course of time the CONSTRUCTION concept as an element of a stylistic metaphor gradually loses its stylistic effect that makes it necessary to investigate stylistic concepts diachronically. The CONSTRUCTION concept in the titles of literary texts possesses a considerable stylistic potential being a highly efficient means of cohesion at the same time.
