Abstract:
The research is devoted to the problem of modeling various types of fear on the textual level which may provide the author and reader’s effective communication. Particular attention is paid to the role of personal reference in the process of horror discourse creation in the English language, more exactly – to the use of the odorative model of fear for transferring the fear of disease in S. King’s novel «Dreamcatcher».
