CONSTRUCTING THE EVENT OF CHANGE IN THE AMERICAN NEWSPAPER DISCOURSE

Abstract: 
The article looks into the peculiarities of constructing events of social and political changes in the American newspaper discourse. With the application of linguo-cognitive approach based on the theory of embodied mind it was found out that in the news texts constructing events of change is mainly grounded in the dynamic image schemas.
