ABOUT THE COGNITIVE ASPECT OF STUDYING DEMOTIVATORS

Abstract: 
The article is devoted to the analysis of demotivator as a multimodal text which synthesizes verbal and visual components and is characterized by comic sense. As a cognitive process defining the creation of demotivator, interpretation which is carried out with the help of conceptual integration is considered. Such means of creating the comic sense of demotivator, as a literal metaphor and a pun are described.
