VERBALIZATION OF POSITIVE EMOTIONS IN ENGLISH AND MODERN GREEK

Abstract
The article presents description of the semantic representation of positive emo-tions in human language that was investigated on the material of English, Modern Greek and Ukrainian.
People’s positive emotions receive verbal representation in the language with the help of special lexical units – emotives that nominate, express and describe them. By their function emotive units are classified into nominative, affective and descriptive emotives.
