Abstract
The article deals with cognitive relevance of literary criticism notions of ‘fictional text’ and ‘non-fictional text’ as objects of critical studies. The survey results point out that the traditional opposition of ‘true/fictitious’ is less relevant for text perception a contextual interpretation and pragmatic purposes of reading.
