Abstract:
The features of the use of certain parts of speech (nouns, verbs, adjectives, cir-cumstances, conjunctions, and prepositions) in linguistic representations of the content of mental images with preschoolers are examined according to the level of de-velopment of their thinking. It is shown that the higher is the level of development of thinking, the more often verbs, conjunctions, circumstances, and prepositions are used in the preschoolers’ speech. The use of nouns and adjectives is independent of the level of development of thinking.
