Abstract:
The article deals with the analysis of Russian cognitive view, offered by E.S. Kubryakova school. A special focus is given to differences between E.S. Kubryakova broad approach and narrow «computerized» cognitive models and approaches of Western linguistics. The special significance of a guiding linguistic function, offered by E.S. Kubryakova as a basis of a dichotomy «cognition-communication» is also considered. The interplay between a cognition and a discourse is defined.
