Abstract:
The article focuses on the problem of an integrative theory of language as a system of knowledge representation. The notion of the interpretative function of language is being introduced. A special attention is drawn to the interplay of the three aspects of linguistic processing of knowledge (representative proper, semiotic, and interpretative) as a result of implementation of the three functions of language: cognitive, communicative, and interpretative.
