Abstract:
The article focuses on representing a famous fairy-tale plot in the new historical context and the peculiarities of curtailing information while deriving the revisionist fairy tale, much attention being paid to selection/non-selection of the elements and motifs of the basic story, which results from the shift in the perspective and target audience, and the author's play with literary conventions and readers' expectations.
