Abstract
The article is devoted to discussing the status and some verbal representation patterns of the concept RELATIONS, as well as to the analysis of the structure of the conceptual sphere of an individual in general. Among the important properties of the concepts and their individual fragments the author points out the possibility of establishing a variety of relations between them. These relations often play the leading role in the genesis of new areas, and even new concepts. The presence of relations between the concepts and their fragments is a universal and obligatory characteristic of the conceptual system of a person. The author concludes that in the process of verbalization of this or that area of a concept, a certain aspect of relations between the area in question and other elements of the conceptual system can acquire salience. This fact is expressed linguistically with the help of the occasional senses of the corresponding conjunction and integrating into the concept RELATIONS.
