THEORETICAL PRECONDITIONS AND GROUNDS OF STUDYING THE INTERPRETATIVE POTENTIAL OF LEXICAL CATEGORIES

Abstract: 
The article represents an analytical review of researches in linguistics, logic and philosophy that deal with the function of linguistic interpretation; the basic properties and cognitive grounds of linguistic interpretation are discussed. The author considers approaches to the systemic description of lexicon adopted in the linguistic tradition and proposes the way of modeling the interpretative potential of lexical categories based on the analysis of the conceptual content of a lexical category and interpretative formats of knowledge.
