Abstract:
The article covers different approaches to space analyses from ontological and epistemological perspectives within the framework of linguocognitive studies. Perspectives of further linguocognitive researches are singled out. Territory of the USA as a space serves as an example of intercultural cooperation while giving names to American settlements. Linguacognitive analyses allowed specifying values and ethnic priorities of American citizens. Space is proved to be perceived by a person not as a given phenomenon from above, though as a result of human activity, which exists as a part of our every-day life.
