Abstract
The paper discusses the biology of cognition view on processes of utterance building. It deals with the interaction of languaging and the language stance involved in semiosis and utterance building. The lexical invariant as a factor of stability is assessed vis-à-vis languaging processes. Particular emphasis is laid on incrementation as key to syntactic processes. Semantic correspondence of utterance components is highlighted as a major syntactic factor.
