RELATIONAL SPEECH ACT AS REFLECTION OF MENTAL REPRESENTATION OF SPATIAL RELATIONS

Abstract: 
The article deals with the study of relational speech acts as a means of language representation of spatial relations. The author analyses semantic and conceptual characteristics of prepositional phrases in English and Russian. The research is based on the study of phrases with the prepositions из, от, с, out of, from, off and the results of some experimental testing of Russian and English speakers.
