WAYS OF GENDER CONSTRUCTION IN VARIOUS TYPES OF TEXTS

Abstract: 
The article deals with the types and formats of storing gender knowledge in the mind of a person as well as with the strategies of the linguistic and non-linguistic construction of gender in various types of texts. The potential of such notions as cognitive matrix, category, concept, gender stereotype is analyzed and illustrated. The role of the construction of the cognitive context is stressed as an important strategy in doing gender especially in creolized texts decoding.
