Abstract:
The article deals with the problems of political correctness (PC) as a movement against language discrimination, which grew popularity at the end of XX century. Language discrimination analysis and the thematic classification of politically corrected lexicon helped to reveal the basic cognitive processes connected with the correction tendencies mostly in the three main groups where political correctness is especially relevant: racial differences, sexual relations and different negative aspects of reality. The analyzed processes of semantic derivation in the language might be regarded as special means of conceptualization of the reality, as a result of which is conceptual derivation.
