COGNITIVE LINGUISTICS AND FOREIGN LANGUAGES TEACHING: THE APPLIED ASPECTS

Abstract: 
Cognitive linguistics lends support to existing foreign language teaching methodologies. It also leads to suggestions for alternative ways of presenting grammar and vocabulary, equips teachers with the knowledge of the cognitive processes involved in language use and learning, and influences their approach to teaching.
