Abstract:
The paper deals with the problem of conceptualization of space in Indo-European languages. There is examined a method of analyzing the lexemes that denote spatial relations by means of which the author suggests reconstructing a prototype, a protoidea that was taken as a basis of verbalizing a concept of certain spatial relations.
