Abstract:
The present article deals with functioning of ethnonyms in speech of the people of Perm krai from a perspective of conceptualization and categorization. It is concluded that an ethnic fragment of the regional worldview can be described in terms of the analysis of the category of ethnicity which is an integral part of language consciousness. The concept ETHNOS is basic for this category which in its turn consists of several conceptual spheres.
