PRODUCTIVE PTOTOTYPE MODELS OF ENGLISH AND AMERICAN BORROWINGS IN FRENCH

Abstract: 
The paper is an attempt to make clear internal factors of English and American borrowings-neologisms in French illustrated by prototype models based on the notion of interlanguage semantic resemblance. Such models possess not only explanatory but also a predictive power.
