Abstract:
In the given paper various bases of attraction of objects as size representatives in similes are considered. Among them the author mentions the use of objects which size is an essential characteristic; comparison of real parametres of two compared objects; orientation on «anthropocentric standard»; similarity in additional characteristics that are not expressed explicitly; implicit way of expressing size of the object of comparison.
