Abstract:
Conceptualization and categorization are the main cognitive processes in the language. Categories are the result of interaction of cognitive processes. Lexical categorization is one of the important systems of representating cognition in the language. It is a language prototype of categorization of natural objects and objects of a man’s inner world. The process of nomination of an object is stipulated by different mechanisms of our mental activity. That is why there is a question about the character of semantics that represents the cognition in the language.
