PARASEMY IN THE ASPECT OF COGNITIVE MECHANISMS OF SPEECH PRODUCTION AND PERCEPTION

Abstract: 
The article presents the phenomenon of parasemy as a unity of several separate meanings in one word within the context. Semantic synthesis of the meanings is associated with the mechanism of polycategorization and existence of interconceptual links. The phenomenon of parasemy illustrates the sognitive-discursive function of the language sign.
