PROTOTYPE APPROACH IN LEXICOGRAPHIC INTERPRETATION OF RUSSIAN SYNONYMS

Abstract: 
The report states the experience of using methods of cognitive linguistics, especially those of prototype approach in lexicographic practice, i.e. in making a Great explanatory dictionary of the Russian speech synonyms. This dictionary is the first one in Russian lexicography that shows the use of typical semantics of synonymic rows of words through one formalized model (lexicographical zones “Semantic idea” and “Prototype”), and an individual lexical semantics of each synonym, i.e. the member of the synonymic row of words.
