THE ROLE OF IMAGERY IN HEURISTIC PRACTICES (Based on the Example of Heroes’ Discourse of the Sci-Fi Film “Chappie”)

Abstract: 
The task of studying the process of heuristic insight can be solved using film characters’ discourse as an example of texts of film scripts. The film script is a unique source of study since it combines verbal and iconic components, aiding the discovery of the answer for the problem embedded in the film’s plot. The linguistic portrait of film characters helps to disclose the film’s idea for the viewer thanks to the heuristic potential of the imagery.
