Abstract:  The article substantiates the relevance of the tools of cognitive linguistics in the study of linguistic phenomena in the context of modern humanitarian knowledge and technological development. In the context of the theory of cognitive linguistics the development of clip thinking and some features of socio-cultural transformations are considered.
