THE PROSODY OF SPOKEN GENRES: THE METHOD OF PREPARING THE WORKING CORPORA

Abstract: 
The conceptual correlation between the prosodic markers of the communicative meanings and the semantics of discourse genres is analyzed. The genres of a lecture, press conference, interview, and police interrogation serve as the material for the analysis. The correlation can be used in designing the working corpora for the sound speech analysis. The method increases the recall of data when elaborating the corpora. The computer system PRAAT is used in verifying the researcher’s perception of the sound speech prosody.
