CORRELATION OF EYEBROW MOVEMENT AND INTONATION AS A MARKER OF COGNITIVE PROCESSES

Abstract:  Audio and visual analyses have revealed correlation of eyebrow movement and intonation - different modi of speech communication. Upward eyebrow shift widens the size of the upper part of the face, thus, enhancing information impact on the recipient. Upward eyebrow movement and intonation are markers of cognitive processes with various meanings and point to positive attitude of the speaker towards his partner.
