COGNITIVE BASIS OF VISUAL PERCEPTION ADVERBS WITH -LY

Abstract:  The research focuses on the cognitive grounds of -ly adverbs of visual perception in their discourse functioning, viewed through the mode of visual perception which forms the conceptual basis of evidentiality. This approach helps describe the conditions, under which -ly adverbs of visual perception can function as peculiar markers of evidentiality realizing evidential meanings in the contexts.
