FACTORS OF VARIATION OF TEXTS IN COMMUNICATION

Abstract:  The paper focuses on the necessity to explain variation of texts in communication in terms of their meaning, form and functions. On the one hand, one should be aware of the degree of regularity and / or randomness of variation in form and meaning of a certain type of texts. On the other hand, it is necessary to characterize the impact of internal and external factors on the organization of textual substance. This will lead to understanding of the processes of conventionalization of types of texts in a particular culture. The term “types of texts” refers to invariants that historically emerge in a culture and are shaped as model texts used for solving specific communicative and cognitive tasks. To solve these tasks, language users choose a variety of language means from isofunctional categories.
