Abstract:  The article gives a short overview of basic types of intermediality. An intermedial analysis of “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” by L. Carroll and illustrations to it made by various artists is carried out. Three main types of intermedial relationships of fiction and illustrations to it are distinguished.
