MODELS OF CONCEPTUAL METAPHORIZATION OF THE CONCEPTS GOODNESS AND EVILNESS IN RUSSIAN IDIOMS

Author:  Wang Tianjiao

Abstract
This paper described and compared the models of conceptual metaphorization of the concepts GOODNESS and « EVILNESS expressed in the Russian idioms with components ‘goodness’ and ‘evilness’. It’s shown that in idioms these two concepts are presented as materialized object, as object with specific functions such as apple, goods and money. It’s concluded that goodness and evilness are not only in antonymic relations on mental and linguistic levels, but also have a close connection with each other, and that the models of metaphorical representation of these two concepts in many ways are able to embody the national and cultural specifics of one fragment of the Russian language picture of the world.
