LINGUISTIC CONTEXT AS A DEVICE FOR THE FORMATION OF PRECEDENCE

Abstract: 
The article states that the conceptual structure of precedent names has a cognitive matrix format. The core of this structure is represented by the notion component of the proper name concept. Proper names are differently interpreted in the peripheral elements of the matrix. They explicate necessary precedent characteristics while interacting with definite linguistic context. This is the main mechanism for the formation of precedence of precedent names.
