GEO-CONCEPTS OF RUSSIAN CITIES IN LINGUISTIC CONSCIOUSNESS OF STUDENTS

Abstract: 
The paper deals with the problem of modeling the geo-concept of a city in the linguistic consciousness of schoolchildren. The material of the research was 2,117 reactions obtained in the course of the chain associative from 152 informants - students of the educational center “Sirius” (Sochi). The work was carried out within the framework of research in the field of “naive geography”. The analysis of the materials made it possible to identify the main features that determine the images of the cities under study in the linguistic consciousness of schoolchildren, and also to highlight the sources of their formation.
