DERIVATIVES OF PROPER NAMES AS SEMANTIC FORMS OF POLITICAL DISCOURSE

Abstract:  The purpose of the study is to identify the features of the functioning of derivatives of proper names in modern political discourse. It is proved that these names integrate ideas conditioned both by linguistic and extralinguistic factors. The principles of the formation of such derivatives, cognitive mechanisms, and nomination models are highlighted. The role of derivatives in the process of formation and interpretation of the meaning of political discourse, the new properties of proper names functioning as derivation bases are determined.
