Abstract: The work highlights the results of a corpus-based study into the dynamics of modern English lexis that refract the current revision of the values typical of English speakers’ worldview. Prominence is given to the phenomenon of secondary linguistic interpretation that underlies the modification and formation of new structures of knowledge and as a consequence the renovation of the lexical means of the language. The study focuses on English neologisms formed by analogy.
