ETYMOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF THE CONCEPTS OF PERSISTENCE AND STUBBORNNESS IN THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE

Abstract:  Thе article is a part of the study of the peculiarities of the linguistic representation of the concepts PERSISTENCE and STUBBORNNESS in the Russian language. The internal form and historical origin of the key lexemes-representatives of the concepts PERSISTENCE and STUBBORNNESS are considered on the basis of lexicographic sources. As a result of the research, the initial semantic content of the studied concepts is revealed.
