THE CATEGORY OF EVALUATION IN AN IDEALIZED MODEL OF THE WORLD

Abstract: 
The paper focuses on the category of evaluation in comparison with the category of expressiveness. The authors suggest a special type of evaluation that relies on a different cognitive operation - the object / denotative situation is referred to the norm instead of being ranked on a ‘good - bad’ scale (cf. the semantic structure of Russian adjectives nastojashhij , istinnyj , podlinnyj , dejstvitel'nyj ).
