Abstract: 
The research appeals to the study of paradoxes as a special type of the world cognition based on cognitive mechanisms of mental integration, i.e. pairing cognitive structures based on opposition and identity at the same time. As a result, complex cognitive structures are formed that express fundamentally new knowledge about the world. The material of observations is poetic speech.
