FUNCTIONAL FORMAT OF THE INTERPRETATIVE POTENTIAL OF LEXIS (Based on English)

Abstract:  The article considers the cognitive grounds of realizing the functional format of the interpretative potential of lexical units. Principles, cognitive mechanisms and interpretative features as knowledge structures producing secondary meanings of lexical units in English are defined.
