Abstract: Communication is viewed as a two-level construction with the semantic level containing the information to be conveyed in the process of communication and the deep-structure level formed be the conceptual structures (frames) of different degrees of complexity. Cognitive (framework) models of communication - basic, interpretative, and modifying - are singled out and described. Construal of complex conceptual structures underling the process of communication is discussed.
