THE Russian-Bulgarian Topical Classifier: A STUDY OF Idioms with the Basic CONSTITUENT Hope

Abstract:  The paper discusses the principles of building a Russian-Bulgarian topical classifier, a bilingual dictionary of closely related linguacultures. The general concept is based on the ideas of intercultural and transcultural communication. The paper presents a pattern of a dictionary entry for figurative units with a basic component hope . The concept of the dictionary has been influenced by V.N. Teliya’s research ideas, as well as her expertise in lexicography of idioms.
