SYNCHRONOUS ETYMOLOGY AS A MEANS OF CLARIFYING THE MEANING OF PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS

Abstract:  This article is devoted to the use of synchronous etymology in phraseology in order to clarify the meanings of phrases. Using this technique allows to solve the problem of verifying dictionary entries in phraseography.
