ON LANGUAGE GAME IN RAS TRADE-UNION NEWSPAPER “NAUCHNOE SOOBSHСHESTVO”

Abstract:  The article briefly highlights the results of the analysis of the language game in the “Jokes” section of the “Nauchnoe soobshсhestvo” [Scientific Community], the newspaper published by the Trade-Union of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow Region). The authors provide pragmalinguistic analysis of the jokes presented, as well as cross-language matches between the examples in the given section and the materials of humor and satire webpages in English.
