Abstract:
The article deals with conventional and innovative metaphors that are verbalized by linguistic means of different layers. The metaphors prove to create figurativeness and expressiveness in the image of fictional world. The research is done on the material of a short story by R. Bradbury “June 2001 - and the moon be still as bright”. Artistic (poetic) creation is considered to be the maximum display of interpretation opportunities in language.
