THE UZBEK ETHNIC PORTRAIT: EXPERIMENTAL RECONSTRUCTION

Author:  Rogozina I.V., Buhner N.Yu.

Abstract
In the article language is viewed as a means of representing and discovering the ethno-cultural components of human mind. Serving as their verbalizers, ethno-descriptors can be used for the restoration of the ethnic portrait, which is regarded as a complex multi-characteristic hierarchical model. The objective of the article is to restore the nuclear part of the Uzbek ethnic portrait based on experimental scaling. The model includes three levels and two fields of distributing ethno-descriptors. The nuclear part of the ethnic portrait reveals the «mirror» structure of the model's positive and negative fields and the proportional correlation of ethno-descriptors at each level. The ethno-descriptors along with the structural components manifest the systemic character of the model.
