SYMBOLISM OF THE STAR IN RUSSIAN AND BULGARIAN PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS AS VERBAL CULTURAL TEXTS

Abstract:  The article deals with an analysis of the following symbol meanings of the constituent zvezda ‘star’ in Russian and Bulgarian phraseological units: something perfect and difficult to achieve; fate, fortune; spiritual guide; success, fame. Dating back to ancient times, these meanings remain topical in the modern verbal cultural texts.
