INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATION: MENTAL STRUCTURES AND COGNITIVE MECHANISMS

Abstract: 
The article explores the interaction between three mental spaces laying the basis of the cross-cultural communication. Special emphases are on the third mental space presenting conceptual blend with its own emergent conceptual structure. We concentrate on the conceptual mapping between the three mental spaces and their representations in language.
