HOLISTIC TRENDS AND INTERDISCIPLINARY INTEGRATION IN RESEARCH
The article discusses interdisciplinary unions and the causes of their emergence. To such causes the article relates: a return to holistic thinking, blurring the boundaries between different kinds of human activity as well as between the spheres of cognition; the complication of the world, including objects of research and art forms; and problem-oriented nature of modern anthropocentric science. Particular attention is paid to the studies of language, text, human mind and a wide interdisciplinary context in which they are incorporated today.
